Ngan Tran

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Oregon, specializing in International Trade, Labor Economics, and Applied Microeconomics. My research focuses on how global economic shocks, such as trade liberalization and trade wars, shape labor market outcomes and gender inequality. My job market paper examines how the 2001 U.S.–Vietnam BTA influenced gender wage disparities across Vietnamese provinces.

In my free time, I enjoy making pottery and exploring new hiking trails with my husband and our three-year-old Goldendoodle.
